Location.
Older style lodge.

Calling it a kitchenette was a stretch.

Location on main road is very good. Shops and other facilities such as post office, petrol station, etc are nearby.
Absence of swimming pool, there is only a hot tub.

Small and friendly hotel. Good rooms with fine beds and good bathroom. Parking very conveniently located near the rooms. Breakfast was included but very poor. No recreational facilities except the small hot tub. ...read more

NOTHING!
It was HOT in the room and noisy as it was located beside a bar. WAY OVERPRICED!

Hallways looked like they hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner in months. For the price of the room we were extremely disappointed. I wouldn't recomend anyone to stay here! I will NEVER be back to the Sierra Lodge! ...read more

Nice balconies, very close and centralized to everything in town.
Beds are extremely uncomfortable, no air conditioning.

It's not bad for a quick overnight but if you want a good night's sleep I would look elsewhere. Sleeping on a wooden board would have been more comfortable than sleeping on a bed at this place. I will say the kitchenette in the room was very nice and well stocked. ...read more

Covered parking, convenient location, wi-fi, clean.
Generally worn-out carpet, walls, decor.

The staff was friendly and courteous, the rooms are spacious, and the location is right in the middle of town. It was a decent place to stay, just a little run-down.

Continental breakfast.
No air conditioning.

This hotel was not at all what I expected. It was more for people who wanted to rough it a bit as no air conditioning. We were lucky it did not get hot the night we stayed and at least there was a fan. No elevator and no feeling of security as garage was open to hotel guest rooms. ...read more

Clean and centrally located.

We (husband/wife and 2 kids) spent 2 nights at this hotel while exploring/hiking around Mammoth Lakes. The hotel is minimalist in terms of facilities which was fine with us because we were outdoors from 9am to 8pm. The room was very clean and spacious. There is no swimming pool but there is a jacuzzi just outside the dining room. Free continental breakfast every morning (bagels and danishs) at the dining room which is small but cozy. This is very convenient for us with 2 kids as we don't have to drive out looking for breakfast places. We'll stay here again the next time we visit Mammoth Lakes. ...read more

Good location, friendly staff.
Breakfast is bare-bones.

It is a room, bed and shower. Friendly staff and conveniently located. Has not been updated since the 80's. If you are expecting more than a room and shower, look elsewhere, but if you just need a place to crash, this will fit the bill. ...read more
